Step asideShaft, there is a new player in town. Who is this player? Their name - the Klumps. Klumps who? Yeah the Klumps, the fat family in the Nutty Professor II. Can you dig it? I can dig it! And we thought theShaft and Love & Basketball soundtracks would be the hottest tracks of the summer. Nope! You're dead wrong. The KlumpsNutty Professor IIhave taken the reigns so far.

The first observation I noted is that there are no damn movie preludes on this soundtrack - thank God! I get tired of listening to soundtracks that include movie clips. I don't know about "you" but Janet Jackson I am a common individual who gets tired of stretching my hand out to flip the switch in the Jeep or searching to find my remote to flip to the next track. After my observation, I decided to start with track one. Bam - it hit me, right from the jump, vodka on the rocks. Janet Jackson's new song "Doesn't Really Matter" - no doubt. Janet has not fallen off, maybe her brother (Michael), but Janet is still keeping it real for the 2K. Moving right along through the soundtrack I stumbled across number three. Okay, prepare yourself D'Angelo fans, there is a new imposter and he goes by the name of, Musiq. Who in da hell is Musiq? I don't know. But the young blood is "hot." Musiq sounds like D'Angelo; however, Musiq might be more talented. Watch out D'Angelo.

Also appearing on the soundtrack for a second time is Case who performed "Touch Me Tease Me" with Foxy Brown for the original Nutty Professor soundtrack. But who needs Foxy in da second round? Eddie Murphy Case blows it up with "Missing You." To be perfectly honest, this is the hottest song on the da album. What Case needs to do is to stick to making soundtracks instead of albums. I did not forget the Hip-Hop Junkies. The producers of this soundtrack did not go wrong in da Hip-Hop department. There are five Hip-Hop songs, but there is only one winner to be recognized - Method Man's "Even If." Time after time Method Man just keeps climbing the ladder of Hip-Hop Nirvana. For the L.L. Cool J fans there is a sneak preview of L.L.'s album, which is coming in the near future. Last but not least, Chi-Town ghetto wonder boy, R. Kelly does his thing. R. Kelly has been pretty busy this summer releasing his third song for the summer and making his second soundtrack appearance. Kelly performs "Just A Touch." To make a long story short, R. Kelly is the only R&B singer that can sing about Chicken and Ribs and make it a hit.
