Denzel Washington is in final negotiations to reunite with director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for Touchstone's romantic thriller "Deja Vu" reports Variety.

Washington will play an FBI agent with the ability to travel back in time. He falls in love with a woman as her murder approaches. "Deja Vu" was a spec script by Terry Rossio and Bill Marsilli. Disney bought the spec for several million dollars last year.

Scott and Washington teamed for last year's "Man on Fire" and the pair and Bruckheimer previously teamed for 1995's "Crimson Tide". The budget of this is likely to cost upwards of $75 million. Scott signed on to direct in March.

Washington is already slated to be in "Inside Man", directed by Spike Lee. He is currently on Broadway playing Brutus in Julius Caesar.
