BEWARE of Animals
MADAGASCAR opens on May 27

Ben Stiller ("Meet the Parents"), Chris Rock ("Chris Rock Never Scared"), David Schwimmer (TV's "Friends") and Jada Pinkett Smith ("Collateral") star as the voices of four zoo animals who hang up when they hear the call of the wild. Alex the Lion (Stiller) is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends Marty the Zebra (Rock), Melman the Giraffe (Schwimmer) and Gloria the Hippo (Pinkett Smith) have lived their entire lives in blissful captivity, with regular meals provided and an admiring public to adore them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty allows his curiosity to get the better of him and, with the help of some prodigious penguins, makes his escape to explore the world he's been missing. Alex, Melman and Gloria go after him, but before they can go wild in the streets, they are captured, crated and put on a ship to Africa…to be ultimately set free. When those plotting penguins sabotage the ship, Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria find themselves washed ashore on the exotic island of Madagascar. Now, these native New Yorkers have to figure out how to survive in the wild and discover the true meaning of the phrase "It's a jungle out there."

Reviews

Latest Review Additions:

Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith Review (in Film )
Sith is the best of the prequels and a magnificent ending to cinema's most popular films.

Mad Hot Ballroom Review (in Film )
MHB is a film about adolescence against the backdrop of ballroom dancing. It's a heartwarming film, where there are no losers but winners across the board.

Crash Review (in Film )
Although some the stories in the film seem contrived, the actors portraying the roles are not only convincing but perhaps give their best performance to date.

XXX: State of the Union Review (in Film )
With the exception of a bullet train at infinite speed and the dialogue, which gave Speedman and Dafoe the worst lines of the film, the film is appealing because Cube and Jackson are worth watching.

Kingdom of Heaven Review (in Film )
The film revels in its desire to be the next great epic, but it merely falls to a solid somewhat banal period piece of excellent bloody sword and arrow play in numerous battles.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Review (in Film )
Hitchhiker's is a breath of fresh air.  It's an inventive escape from the recent batch of uncreative, dispassionate science fiction films..

The Year of the Yao Review (in Film )
The Year of the Yao is a tremendously entertaining film. It's easily the best basketball film I've seen in years.

Beauty Shop Review (in Film )
While some of the jokes take some time to get a chuckle, Latifah and the cast more than make up for it by bringing in their own comedic style and making the film enjoyable and worthy of being a spinoff.

Guess Who Review (in Film )
Times have definitely changed because Ashton Kutcher is no Sidney Poitier, but Bernie Mac pretty much holds the film and the politics together in this mildly entertaining film.

Miss Congeniality 2 Review (in Film )
With her next sequel, Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous, not only is it worse than "Speed 2", but it lacks the spark and charm that made the original cute and fun to enjoy.
