Lions Gate Films has hired screenwriter Charlie Bohl to write an untitled thriller starring LL Cool J, reports Variety. The project is the first in a multifilm deal signed with the rapper-actor.

Lions Gate is keeping the storyline of the untitled project under wraps, except to say it will be an African-American version of a cross between Fatal Attraction and Body Heat.

Bohl wrote the feature Swimfan and wrote and produced the recent CBS telefilm Martha Behind Bars.
