Tyler Perry's Daddy's Little Girl cast includes Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba, Tracee Ellis Ross, Malinda Williams, Terri Vaughn and Lou Gossett Jr.

On the heels of Gabrielle Union being cast in Tyler Perry's next film, "Daddy's Little Girl", blackfilm.com is confirming that Idris Elba, Tracey Ellis Ross, Malinda Williams, Terri Vaughn, and Lou Gossett Jr. are also set to be in the film.

Written by Perry, the reverse-Cinderella tale centers on a successful attorney (Union) who falls in love with a financially challenged mechanic (Elba) who is a single father of three children. The relationship hits a snag when the janitor's ex-wife comes back into his life and threatens to take away their kids.

The film is being produced by Reuben Cannon and Roger Bobb and will be distributed by Lions Gate Films on February 23, 2007. Shooting on the film will start on June 19th in Atlanta.

Union most recently starred in ABC's short-lived series "Night Stalker" and next appears in "Running With Scissors" with Annette Bening.

Elba is known for his captivating performance as the druglord Stringer Bell from HBO's The Wire and was recently in "The Gospel" with Boris Kodjoe. He will next be seen with Oscar winner Hilary Swank in August in the thriller "The Reaping".

Ross is currently on the long-running TV series, "Girlfriends" and Williams was on the long-running Showtime series "Soul Food" before it got cancelled. Gossett Jr. has been in numerous films and won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his role in "An Officer and a Gentleman".

Perry's last film, Madea's Family Reunion, has grossed $63 million dollars and had a $30 million dollar opening weekend.
