DAY OF THE DEAD casting update
Ving Rhames, Nick Cannon, Mena Suvari are attached to the remake of the classic horror film.

Exclusive News: On the heels on www.bloody-disgusting.com reporting that Ving Rhames and Mira Sorvino are in "Day of the Dead", the remake of the classic horror film by George Romero, blackfilm.com has confirmed through Millennium Films that while Rhames is definitely in the film, but Sorvino is NOT, it's Mena Suvari. Besides Rhames and Suvari, the cast include Michael Welch, Annalynne McCord, Stark Sands, and Nick Cannon. Steve Miner (Halloween H20, Friday the 13th, Part 2, 3D) will direct the film. Jeffrey Reddick wrote the screenplay. In the original, Day of the Dead dealt with the zombie assault on a military establishment, satirizing the military mindset in the process. The remake could be different as "Dawn of the Dead" was a few years ago.
