Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash ("The Woodsman", "Shadowboxer") has set up a trio of film projects.

Dash has teamed with Tribeca Prods. and Universal Pictures to mount a drama based on the life of Larry Davis. At 19, Davis traded fire with New York City cops, wounding six of them and escaping despite being shot in the head. After eluding a manhunt for 17 days, Davis turned himself in to the FBI on the promise the feds would investigate local police corruption.

Dash also has teamed with producer Kevin Misher to mount a fact-based film about a female fight club in Brownsville, Brooklyn, where troubled women pummeled each other for pay in a basement makeshift ring.

Dash also is developing, with documakers Marc Levin and Richard Stratton, a film based on the life story of mobster Joe Stassi, a go-Damon Dashween of Meyer Lansky and Lucky Luciano. Dash is in talks with producer Henry Winterstern of First Look Studios to use the docu Levin and Stratton made as the basis for a feature.
