Actor-comedian Bernie Mac and his producing partner Steven Greener have formed production company MacMan Entertainment and have signed a two-year, first-look deal with Lionsgate.

The deal, which involves film projects, has an option for a third year and marks the first time Lionsgate has partnered with an actor's shingle.

The first project to be developed under the new deal will be a concert film starring Mac to be produced by Mac and Greener. The deal also includes the making of a series of Dean Martin-style celebrity roasts that will premiere on DVD. A minimum of four will be produced, and Mac will serve as the host.

Lionsgate gave Mac his first dramatic role in "Pride," a 1970s-set inspirational drama in which he co-stars with Terrence Howard. The movie recently wrapped production.

Mac earned a pair of Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work on Fox's "The Bernie Mac Show" and gained attention in the comedy concert film "The Original Kings of Comedy." He is shooting "Ocean's Thirteen" and "Transformers"

Mac is repped by ICM and attorney Hirsch Wallerstein.
