Mandalay Alliance Entertainment has secured financing for two new projects: "Love Can't Hide," starring Omar Epps, and "Sundays in Fort Greene," starring Meagan Good.

The year-old banner, a division of Peter Guber's Mandalay Entertainment Group, said the projects are part of its strategy to produce films reflecting a young, multicultural lifestyle with budgets of up to $10 million.

It's lined up financing partners including Madison Strategic Integration, Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, Suntrust Bank and Candescent Pictures, which will supply post-production services through its LAB601 operation.

Mandalay prexy Damien Douglas and chief financial officer Horace Madison made the announcement Tuesday, indicating that the new coin will enable the banner to begin production, acquire films and form alliances with outside production companies. Douglas plans to launch another six pics over the next two years.

Epps will partner with MAE on "Love Can't Hide," a romantic comedy that Epps wrote. The film will be produced by Epps, Douglas and Madison.

MAE's also signed a production deal with Good and her Freedom Bridge Entertainment, with "Sundays in Fort Greene" set to begin production this summer. Tamara Bass, who penned the screenplay, will also star, while Ty Hodges directs, and Good produces with Douglas and Madison.

MAE recently completed production with Foxy Films on "Days of Wrath."
