Angela Bassett and Noah Wyle will star in Rod Lurie's thriller "Nothing but the Truth" opposite Kate Beckinsale and Matt Dillon for the Yari Film Group.

Alan Alda, Vera Farmiga, Harry Lennix and David Schwimmer also star in the story of a reporter (Beckinsale) who reveals the identity of a CIA agent and is sent to jail for refusing to reveal her source. Bassett plays the supportive editor in chief at her Washington paper. Wyle plays the lawyer placed in charge of defending the reporter.

Bassett recently starred in "Akeelah and the Bee," and Wyle soon will appear in "Boy of Pigs."

Yari Film Group CEO Bob Yari is producing with Battle Plan Prods.' Lurie and Marc Frydman from Lurie's script. It's Lurie's second teaming with Yari Film Group since the August release "Resurrecting the Champ." Filming began this month in Memphis.

Bassett is repped by CAA, manager Jason Weinberg at Untitled Entertainment and attorney Darrell Miller at Miller & Pliakas.
