THEATER NEWS: PASSING STRANGE
Opening Night pics for 'Passing Strange'

If you happen to be in New York and want to check out a play or a musical, I suggest that you go see a new musical called 'Passing Strange', which just opend up at The Belasco Theater on 44th St.
Created by Musician Stew and his collaborator Heidi Rodewald, this electric production boast a mix of music from rock, ballad, and jazz. It's like watching 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch' and 'Spring Awakening', with a little 'Rent' included, and it's amazing.

Showing up at the premiere with Tracy Ellis Ross and her sister Rhonda Ross, Michael Ealy, Director Spike Lee and his wife Tonya Lewis, Martha Plimpton, Marion Seldes, Debby Harry, Bobby Canavale, Sanda 'Pepa' Denton, and Sherri Saum

The cast of the show includes Stew, de'Adre Aziza, Daniel Breaker, Eisa Davis, Colman Domingo, Chad Goodridge, and Rebecca Naomi Jones.

 

Passing Strange performs Tuesdays at 7PM; Wednesdays - Saturdays at 8PM; Wednesday & Saturday matinees at 2PM; and Sundays at 3PM at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th St).
