My Place In The Horror casting news
Keith David and Golden Brooks to star in horror film

Blackfilm.com has learned that Robert O' Hara will be making his feature film directing debut with the horror film 'My Place In The Horror', with Keith David and Golden Brooks attached in the cast. The film will be produced by Effie T. Brown and her production company, Duly Noted Inc.

A Black family reunion turns deadly when the elders have to make good on an ancient pact with a spirit of an ancestor. Now, it’s this generation’s turn to make the ultimate sacrifice. It is their duty and their destiny, but they won’t give up without a fight to survive.

O'Hara is known mostly as a theater director He has directed around the country, and his plays have been produced around the world and he has been awarded numerous grants and fellowships.He wrote and directed the World Premiere of Insurrection: Holding History at the New York Shakespeare Festival/Public Theater; the piece received the Oppenheimer Award for Best New American Play and was subsequently published by both Theater Communications Group and an Acting Edition by Dramatist Play Service.

'My Place In The Horror' is one of several film projects set up with Duly Noted Inc. The company is also slated to produced 'Bobby Zero' with Mos Def and Erykah Badu, and 'Vinyl' with executive producer Timbaland.

Shooting will begin in December in New Mexico.
