Berry to star in Who Is Doris Payne?

Variety states that the Oscar winner is set to star in ''Who Is Doris Payne?' a Eunetta Boone-scripted fact-based film about an international jewel thief whose career spanned five decades.

The project is being developed by J2 partners Justin Berfield and Jason Felts.
Payne, a woman from Slab Fork, W.Va., who would confuse store owners and then her walk away with diamond rings, spent five decades plying her trade across the US and Europe. She used at least 22 aliases and worked as far afield as Greece, France, England and Switzerland. She generally operated on her own and relied on store staff forgetting how many rings she had tried on in order to walk away with the goods.

She was arrested several times and is currently behind bars in Las Vegas for stealing a ring from Neiman Marcus. She's well into her 70s.

The last time Berry played a burglar was in 'Catwoman.' Boone has written for TV shows, including 'My Wife and Kids' and 'One on One.' Berry is currently filming 'Frankie and Alice' for director Geoffrey Sax.
