Blackfilm.com has learned that Collins Pennie and Pooch Hall have been cast in the sequel 'Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming.'

Pennie will play Chance, an aspiring dancer from the rough side of Tallahassee, Florida. After running away from gansters, he goes to Truth University in Atlanta, where he hopes to put his problems behind him. At college, he joins the Theta Nu Theta fraternity. The Brooklyn native was recently seen opposite Naturi Naughton in the remake of 'Fame,' and in the remake of 'Prom Night.'

Hall plays Dane, Step Master of the Theta Nu Theta fraternity and a seasoned dancer-choreographer who initially regards Chance as a skilled young up-and-comer, and comes to regard him as a challenge to his authority. The Brockton, Massachusetts native is best known for his role as professional football player Derwin Davis on the CW comedy-drama TV series 'The Game.'

Already cast in the film are Stephen "tWitch" Boss, the footloose runner-up of the fourth season of Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance.' Boss is slated to star as the antagonist, Taz.

Rainforest Films's Will Packer will produce the film with Rob Hardy as writer-director. Hardy was an executive producer on the original 'Stomp the Yard,' which was released in 2007 and grossed $74 million worldwide.
While casting is still under way, Columbus Short is rumored to reprise his role as DJ.
The sequel is set to shoot early next month in Atlanta.
