Black Voices has learned that John Singleton is set to direct a TV miniseries for EPIX TV. The show is called 'The Gray Men' and is based on a new graphic novel by 'Underworld' co-creator and actor Kevin Grevioux.

It's a period piece set in the 1960s, when the government was recruiting young African American college students to infiltrate radicals groups, including the Black Panthers.

Epix is the premium movie channel owned by Studio 3 Partners, a joint venture between Viacom (specifically its subdivision Paramount Pictures), MGM and Lionsgate.

Singleton is already attached to direct the Lionsgate thriller 'Abduction' with Taylor Lautner ('Twilight') and Lily Collins.

Mostly known for his role as Raze in the 'Underworld' movies, Grevioux has another film, 'I, Frankenstein,' in pre-production. It's slated to start shooting this summer. The film is based on the comic book series from Darkstorm Comics and brings back many beloved villains, including Frankenstein's monster, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, plus many more.

Director Patrick Tatopoulos ('Underworld: Rise of the Lycans') will helm the live-action feature with Grevioux, Robert Sanchez, and Lakeshore Entertainment serving as producers.
