Kevin Hart to do ‘About Last Night’ remake

Comedian Kevin Hart is the first actor to join Screen Gems’ remake of About Last Night.

The standup-turned-film and TV actor, who appeared in the box office hit  Think Like a Man, will play the role originated by Jim Belushi.

Screen Gems is mounting the remake of the 1986 Demi Moore-Rob Lowe starrer, based on the play Sexual Perversity in Chicago. Hart is a Chicago native. The story is about a man and woman who meet and try to have a romantic affair, despite their personal problems and the interference of their disapproving friends.

There is no director attached yet to the film, which is being penned by Leslye Headland.

Hart, who is set to play opposite Kevin James in the Sony comedy Valet Guys, is repped by UTA.
