Elise Neal to appear with Kerry Washington in Scandal‘s new season

With the new season of “Scandal” set to start on Thursday, September 27th on ABC, actress Elise Neal will be appearing in a guest-starring role.

The actress recently shared a photo of herself on set with Kerry Washington, who plays political consultant Olivia Pope. Her role on the series has not revealed as of yet.

Renewed for a second season after seven episodes aired this past Spring, “Scandal,” which is from the creator (Shonda Rhimes) and executive producers of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” is a drama revolving around the life and work of a professional crisis manager and her dysfunctional staff. SCANDAL: The Complete First Season” is currently out in stores.

The cast includes Kerry Washington, Henry Ian Cusick, Columbus Short, Guillermo Diaz, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Tony Goldwyn, and Jeff Perry.

Neal, whose film credits include Rosewood, Scream 2, and Hustle and Flow, has done episodic work before, having appeared on various programs such as Family Matters, The Steve Harvey Show, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. From 1998-2002, she starred in the comedy sitcom The Hughleys and from 2003-2005 starred in the first two seasons of All of Us with Duane Martin.

Most recently, it was announced that Neal, along with Basketball Wives’ Tami Roman, Ella Joyce, and Miguel Nunez Jr. will be joining TV One’s new sitcom called “BELLE.”
