Eka Darville Books Roles On Fox’s Empire And Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ Netflix Series

Eka Darville, who had a recurring role on The CW drama, “Originals” has land a couple of role in some major drama series. The Australian native will soon be seen in a recurring status on Fox’s hottest series, “Empire,” and most recently, joined the Netflix’s second upcoming Marvel series, “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones” as Jessica’s neighbor, Malcolm.

Taking place after a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones” follows Jessica Jones (“Breaking Bad” and “Don’t Trust the B- in Apt. 23″ star Krysten Ritter) as she rebuilds her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.

Malcolm is described as “a neighbor of Jessica’s whose own journey will intertwine with her quest in a surprising way.”

“Eka brings such depth, humor and nuanced performance to the characters he plays, which makes him the perfect person to portray Malcolm,” says Executive Producer Melissa Rosenberg. “I’m looking forward to seeing what he will bring to this role.”

On Empire, Darville has a recurring as Ryan Morgan, a possible love interest for Jamal Lyon (played by Jussie Smollett). He will make his first appearance in episode 8 of season 1 titled “Lyon’s Roar,” which airs on Feb. 25.

Darville’s TV credits include roles on Blue Water High, Power Rangers R.P.M., Spartacus: War of the Damned, The Elephant Princess, and Terra Nova.
