Robinne Lee Joins Cast Of Fifty Shades Darker

Variety is reporting that actresses Robinne Lee and Fay Masterson have been added to the cast of Universal Pictures’ Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey.

The duo join fellow newcomers Eric Johnson, Bella Heathcote, Arielle Kebbel and Kim BasingerJamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele with Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini also back to reprise their roles.

James Foley will direct Fifty Shades Darker, based on the script by author E L James’ husband, Niall Leonard.

“Daunted by the singular tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house,” reads the official description for the Fifty Shades Darker novel. “But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven and demanding Fifty Shades. While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, and make the most important decision of her life.”

Lee will play Ros Bailey, VP of Grey Enterprises Holdings, Inc., while Masterson’s role is uncertain at this point. She played Avery Daniels in the first season of BET’s drama series, Being Mary Jane. Her film roles include Hav Plenty, Hitch, and Miss Dial. 

Principal photography on “Fifty Shades Darker” and its sequel “Fifty Shades Freed” began on February 9, 2016 in Paris and Vancouver.

“Fifty Shades Darker” is set to be released on February 10, 2017.
