20th Century Fox, via ThePlaylist, has released some new photos to Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant.

The film stars Katherine Waterson, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Jussie Smolett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Benjamin Rigby, Callie HernandezBilly Crudup, Guy Pearce, James Franco and Michael Fassbender, who is reprising his role of David is role from Scott’s 2012 film Prometheus as well as a new android named Walter. Noomi Rapace is also expected to reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, and James Franco is said to play the Captain of the title ship.

Covenant is supposed to be the first of a trilogy for 20th Century Fox and will serve as the prequel to the Alien film Scott did in the 80s.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in Alien with Alien: Covenant, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with Prometheus – and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction.

Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world – whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Hitting theaters on August 4, 2017, Alien: Covenant was written by Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Michael Green (Green Lantern).

During Fox’s presentation of the film and other 2017 titles, Waterson talked about her role, where she plays Amy Daniels, the chief terraformist on the colonization mission.

Katherine Waterson: She’s a pilot named Amy Daniels and the rest of the crew are scientists. They are not military or experts or anything like that. They are civilians with some military dudes around to protect us but most of the people on the ship are couples. There are also these colonists who are in a cryosleep. It’s one of those things where you wonder, “What kind of person will you be?” “Will you be courageous?”

From Inherent Vice to Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, did you know that you had this action hero inside of you? Did someone had to convince you to do a film like this?

KW: I don’t think anyone has to convince an actor to work with Ridley Scott and be a part of something like this. Actors say this all the time because it’s true but we do find ourselves attracted to the things we don’t think we can do. I always looking for new challenges and maybe even on some level, I’m addicted to that horrible dread that you feel at the beginning of a project where you are not sure if you will have what it takes to, you know, pull it off, yeah.

The look and haircut is all really evocative to Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley? Were there conversations between you and Ridley Scott? Is that something you wanted to bring out in this film?

KW: We never really talked about it. I obviously love her and love what she did. There are parallels in the film and she also found her courage. We never talked about that. The haircut was my idea. I had this loopy bob from Fantastic Beasts and Ridley liked it. I hung out with Ezra Miller on that film and I loved his haircut. When I got this film, I was still shooting that. It was near the ending of Fantastic Beasts and I saw his wig at the corner in the trailer and was like, “Can I get just try that on? I put that wig on and showed it to Ridley and beg him to let me use it and he did. So, I was really just working off Ezra.
