Codeblack has released two new clips from the Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez On Me” – featuring Jamie Hector as Mutulu Shakur, Danai Gurira as Afeni Shakur, and Demetrius Shipp, Jr. as Tupac.

The studio will release the film on June 16 — the day that would have marked Shakur’s 46th birthday. All Eyez On Me will also be the Closing Night film at the American Black Film Festival on June 17.

Directed by Benny Boom, the film centers on the life and legacy of Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor, his imprisonment and his time at Death Row Records. Shakur sold more than 75 million records worldwide, with his fourth studio album, 1996’s All Eyez on Me, selling more than 10 million copies. Shakur, who was killed in Las Vegas at the age of 25, will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

Also featured in the film are The Walking Dead’s Danai Gurira, who plays Tupac’s mom, Afeni Shakur and Lauren Cohan as Leila Steinberg, who met Shakur in 1988 when he was 17 and became his first manager. Kat Graham, who is on CW’s “The Vampire,” as Jada Pinkett Smith. Smith and Shakur were high school classmates at the Baltimore School for the Arts and remained friends before his 1996 murder. Annie Ilonzeh will play the late rapper’s fiancée Kidada Jones, daughter of Quincy Jones.

Jamal Woolard is reprising his role as the Notorious B.I.G. from the 2009 Biggie movie, Notorious. Grace Gibson, daughter of actress Lynn Whifield, will play Faith Evans. Dominic L. Santana as Suge Knight, and Stefon Washington as Puff Daddy. Cory Hardrict is Hatian Jack and Jamie Hector will play Tupac Shakur’s stepfather Mutulu Shakur.

The film is produced by Morgan Creek’s James G. Robinson and David Robinson, along with Program Pictures’ LT Hutton.

The runtime is 140 minutes.
