Ahead of the premiere of his new NBC sitcom Marlon on Wednesday, Marlon Wayans is taking time to reminisce about his former WB sitcom, The Wayans Bros., with his brother Shawn. The comedian-actor says he’s open to reviving the series and giving fans a “final episode.”

“I’ve thought about it. I haven’t pitched it to Shawn yet,” Wayans tells Candice Williams of ABC Radio. “I’d think it be fun — me, him and Pops together — to do a ‘Where are they now?’ I think me and Shawn actually talked about doing a final episode and doing it as a movie, on a network or like a Netflix as ‘the last episode of Wayans Bros.’ But we just never got around to it.”

The series ran from 1995 to 1999, and Marlon says working with his brother made for some of his best years of his career.

“I would love to work with my brother. I love working with Shawn,” Wayans explains. “Talk about natural chemistry? That’s my Bugs Bunny and I’m his Daffy Duck — forever.”

As far as other Wayans’ projects that Marlon would be interested in reviving — a White Chicks 2 is high on his list. In the meanwhile, Wayans says he’s just open to do whatever a network would be interested in getting behind.

“In the meantime, I just got to build Marlon the best I can. And then when he’s ready to do a Marlon-Shawn, we’ll do a Marlon-Shawn. If they want to do all the Wayans Bros., we can do that too. Whatever they want to do I’m here.”

Marlon premieres Wednesday, August 16 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.

Loosely inspired by the real life of star Marlon Wayans (“In Living Color,” “Scary Movie”), this update to the classic family comedy centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. While his misguided fatherly advice, unstoppable larger-than-life personality and unpredictable Internet superstardom might get in the way sometimes, for Marlon, family really always does come first – even if he’s the biggest kid of all.

The cast includes Marlon Wayans, Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle.
