“I just finished a film called Atzec Warrior with Luis Guzman about the Lucha Libre movement. That was directed by Scott Sanders who did the funny film Black Dynamite. I will also be in Scary Movie 5. That’s being directed by my man Malcolm Lee, who I love from The Best Man. I plan on coming back for the second season of The Newsroom and I have a couple of things in the works. I do plan on being in Expendables 3, which is really popping up really quick. A lot of people are talking about it, but it depends on how ‘2’ does.”

Directed by Malcolm Lee, this is the fifth installment of a very successful franchise. Lampooning the greatest in horror and genre fare, the first four films have grossed over $800 million worldwide.

The Wayans Brothers started the franchise for Dimension Films until David Zucker came over and wrote and directed Scary Movie 3 and 4. Zucker is co-writing and producing Scary Movie 5.

While his role wasn’t stated, Crews will be joining a cast that already includes Ashley Tisdale and Erica Ash. Several websites have reported that Lindsey Lohan and Charlie Sheen are also in the film but that hasn’t been confirmed by the studio, Dimension Films.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Sheen and Lohan will plays what is being described by the studio as “the world’s hottest new couple” and be killed in the opening sequence of the movie.”

The movie is currently in pre-production and is aiming to begin filming in September. The latest in the films “Scary Movie 5″ is set to hit theaters on April 19th, 2013.

A former NFL football player, Crews is no stranger to doing comedic roles. He currently stars in the TBS sitcom Are We There Yet? and previous film credits include The 6th Day, Friday After Next, and White Chicks.
