With production ready to start on Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp this summer in Atlanta, Blackfilm.com has exclusively confirmed that rapper-actor Tip “T.I.” Harris will return to reprise his role as Dave in the sequel.
While attending an event in NY yesterday for the upcoming Season 3 of NBC’s The Carmichael Show, T.I. made an appearance to support the cast and I had a brief conversation with the famed rapper. Among the things we talked about, I asked him if he was coming back for the sequel and he gave me a nod as a sign of yes and then told me that they will start shooting in July.
Already confirmed to return in the the sequel to 2015’s “Ant-Man”are Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne/ The Wasp, Michael Douglas as the original Ant-Man, Hank Pym, Michael Pena as Luis, and David Dastmalchian as Kurt. Dave, Luis and Kurt were among Lang’s team of burglars.
Peyton Reed will return to direct with Paul Rudd, Adam McKay, Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari all involved in writing the script
T.I. was last seen earlier this year opposite Jamie Foxx in the action thriller Sleepless. He will next been seen in William H. Macy‘s directed film Krystal opposite Nick Robinson, Grant Gustin and Rosario Dawson.
Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018
