Official Trailer & New Poster To NBA Star Kyrie Irving’s ‘Uncle Drew’ Posted by Wilson Morales

Lionsgate has released an official trailer & new poster of its upcoming Uncle Drew, which is based on a series of Pepsi commercials starring NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving.
Charles Stone III (Drumline) is directing the film, which stars Get Out‘s Lil Rel Howery as Dax who, after draining his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic street ball tournament, is dealt some unfortunate setbacks, including losing his team to his longtime rival (Nick Kroll). Dax stumbles upon the man, the myth, the legend Uncle Drew (Irving) and persuades him to return to the court one more time.
The two men embark on a road trip to round up Drew’s old basketball squad (former NBA stars Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, Erica Ash and WNBA’s Lisa Leslie) and prove that a group of septuagenarians can still win the big one.
Ash will play Maya, the niece of Uncle Drew’s teammate Boots (Robinson). Temple Hill is producing in association with PepsiCo’s Creators League Studios.
The episodic digital series Uncle Drew was first released in May of 2012 and had five installments. It got over 95 million views since its release and stars guard Kyrie Irving as his beloved alter ego, Uncle Drew
Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment will release the film on June 29.
