This morning, Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that the 24th James Bond film will be titled Spectre! Filming will start on Monday, December 8 for the November 6, 2015 release.

The film’s director, Sam Mendes, was joined at Pinewood by Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli for Eon Prods., and reps from MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

In the movie, a cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation, Spectre. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.

Spectre  is the name for the global terrorist organization in the books: Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion.

Daniel Craig will return as James Bond aka 007 as well as Ben Whishaw as Q, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Tanner, and Ralph Fiennes as M. Newcomers to the film include Andrew Scott as Denbigh, David Bautista as Mr Hinx, Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swann, and two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser.

The screenplay was written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade. The director of photography is Hoyte van Hoytema, the editor is Lee Smith and the production designer is Dennis Gassner. The costume designer is Jany Temime, the composer is Thomas Newman, and action specialist Alexander Witt is the 2nd unit director. The stunt coordinator is Gary Powell, the SFX supervisor is Chris Corbould, and the visual effects supervisor is Steve Begg.

It was also revealed that the new car will be the Aston Martin DB10.

Spectre will be filming at Pinewood London, Mexico City, Rome, Tangier & Erfoud, Morocco, Sölden, Obertilliach and Lake Altausee and Austria.

Mendes’ “Skyfall,” the 23rd James Bond movie, took over $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.
