HBO has released pics from episode 6 of Season 8 and series finale of its hit series, Game of Thrones, which will air on Sunday, May 19. The episode, directed by Miguel Sapochnik and written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss, runs 79 minutes.
Based on the popular book series “A Song of Ice and Fire,” by George R.R. Martin, the hit Emmy-winning fantasy series chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom. The ensemble cast left include Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) and Maisie Williams (Arya Stark).
At this point the survivors left include: John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth), Jerome Flynn (Bronn), Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark), Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane), Hannah Murray (Gilly).
David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, Carolyn Strauss, Frank Doelger and Bernadette Caulfield are the executive producers. The co-executive producers are Guymon Casady, Vince Gerardis and George R.R. Martin.
