Blackfilm.com has the unique chance of giving away passes for the closing night film (Sept. 21) of the 2019 Urbanworld Film Festival, Sony Pictures’ Screen Gems’ latest release, “Black and Blue.”
Directed by Deon Taylor (The Intruder). the action/thriller stars Naomie Harris, Tyrese Gibson, Mike Colter, Frank Grillo, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, and Nafessa Williams.
The film will open in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 25th.
Black and Blue follows rookie cop Alicia West (Harris) in New Orleans who accidentally stumbles on some fellow officers murdering a drug dealer, an incident captured by the body cam on her uniform. When they then fail to execute her she escapes and teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Tyrese Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.
