William Jackson Harper has been cast in HBO Max’s romantic comedy anthology series Love Life. The show has just been renewed for its second season and has set The Good Place actor to play its main character.
Season one kept viewers on their toes by following the life and loves of New Yorker, Darby (Anna Kendrick). Highlighting a new relationship from conception to completion each week, the show reveals who the love of Darby’s life is in the final episode. Season 2 looks to do the same with Harper. We will see Harper coming fresh out of his long term relationship with the woman he thought was the one. New York will still serve as the background for the show. According to the network the show “explores what happens when you’ve lived your whole life knowing who your soulmate is, only to find out years into a marriage that it’s not the right fit at all.” Love Life was created by Sam Boyd and is produced by Lionsgate in conjunction with Feigco Entertainment.
Harper has been keeping audiences on the good and narrow as the moral philosophy and ethics scholar, Chidi, on NBC’s The Good Place. He can also be seen in Barry Jenkins upcoming The Underground Railroad in 2021.
