The record-breaking Disney+ series from Marvel has been a hero’s journey for Sam, with his finale speech encapsulating what it means for a Black man to take on the historically white-centric symbolism of American heroism — and demonstrating why he’s exactly the right man for the job. The show broke fresh ground for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe while harkening back to themes from Chris Evans’ Cap run (Sam’s final fight with Karli was reminiscent of Steve’s with Bucky at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, while Isaiah Bradley’s heroic rescue of his platoon and subsequent punishment contrasted heartbreakingly with Steve’s rescue of the 107th Infantry Regiment in The First Avenger). Merchandise for WandaVision sold in a flash when it dropped, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the same happen here. Anthony Mackie’s New Captain America Get His Own Action Figure

Anthony Mackie, appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Monday where he got a little surprise, and had a surprising reaction. At the end of the interview, Colbert showed Mackie his action figure for “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” for the first time.
While Mackie’s first look at the action figure was with it still in the box, which is where it remained so Colbert could “keep it cherry,” there was a second action figure that Colbert pulled out of the box so Mackie could see it in all its glory. Colbert demonstrated the movements to a delighted Mackie, but when the camera zoomed in so Mackie could get a better look, he made a hilarious observation.
“From this distance, it looks more like Jamie Foxx than me,” Mackie said with a laugh.
But despite believing the action figure more resembles Jamie Foxx than it does himself, Mackie is happy with it.
“That’s dope,” Mackie said. “That’s dope.” Asked if it felt good, Mackie replied, “Yeah, that’s amazing. I hadn’t seen it yet.”
