The Secret Between Us opens in select theaters this Friday, April 3, 2026, arriving just in time for Easter Weekend with a powerful story centered on family, betrayal, and forgiveness.
Starring Michael Jai White, Lisa Arrindell, Victoria Rowell, and Karen Abercrombie, the film follows Jack, a respected man whose life begins to unravel when a son from a long-hidden affair resurfaces. As buried secrets come to light, Jack and his estranged son Torrance are forced to confront painful truths, unresolved resentment, and their shared search for redemption—while new secrets threaten to deepen the divide.

Written and directed by Tamera Hill, the film continues the filmmaker’s commitment to character-driven storytelling rooted in faith. Hill, founder of Hidden Gem Entertainment, builds on the success of her previous work while exploring themes of transparency and healing within the Black family experience.
“In The Secret Between Us, we wanted to tell an intimate, character-driven story about the cost of secrets and the courage it takes to seek forgiveness,” said Hill.
The project is executive produced by multi-platinum R&B artist Keith Sweat, who underscores the film’s emotional resonance and timely message.
“This story is emotional and moving. It pulls you in immediately and takes you on a journey about the importance of family and forgiveness,” said Sweat. “This story is so relevant for today. The Secret Between Us is about overcoming adversity and fighting for your family at all costs because family is irreplaceable—you have nothing if you don’t have family.”

The Secret Between Us will debut in select AMC Theatre locations, with advance tickets now available.
