Tim Story To Direct Will Packer FilmStory Tapped for ‘Think Like A Man’

Tim Story has been tapped by Screen Gems to direct ‘Think Like A Man,’ the ensemble comedy based on Steve Harvey‘s bestselling 2009 book ‘Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man. Story.’
Story, who directed the two ‘Fantastic Four’ films and ‘Barbershop,’ will start production in July, stated Deadline.com.
The book, which has afforded the Virginia native multiple appearances on top-rated TV shows such as ‘Oprah’ and ‘The View,’ is a relationship guide where Harvey refers to his own real-life experiences and drops science about the dos and don’ts of meeting and mating. The ‘Original King of Comedy’ also translates for women what men say versus what they really mean. In an interview with BlackVoices.com, Harvey, who collaborated with acclaimed writer Denene Milner, stated, “I wanted to write this book to empower women. It was very therapeutic for me.”
Kevin Hart will play the role of Cedric, who’s about to be divorced and has advice to give out.
The comedy’s scripted by Keith Merryman & David A. Newman. Will Packer’s producing through his Rainforest Films banner and Harvey is exec producing with Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy. The book has sold more than 2 million copies.
