Premiering today on Tuesday, January 26 at 9 PM ET/PT is WGN America’s intense and gritty original drama “Outsiders.

A struggle of power and control set in the rugged hills of Appalachia, “Outsiders” explores the epic battle between the Farrell Clan, a tight-knit family of renegades who have lived atop the rugged Shay Mountain for over two hundred years, and their fight to defend their way of life from the town below and anyone who would dare to challenge them.

The ensemble cast for “Outsiders” includes: David Morse as Big Foster, the gruff and powerful heir to tribe leadership; Thomas M. Wright as Sheriff Wade Houghton, a cop who has a rough history with the Farrells, and grapples with several troubles of his own; Ryan Hurst, as Lil Foster, a massive mountain man and son of Big Foster; Joe Anderson as Asa, a former member of the Farrell clan looking to rejoin the family after a 10-year stint with the outside world; Gillian Alexy as G’Winveer, a healer and a survivor, and Asa’s trusted confidante;

Kyle Gallner as Hasil, a young, intuitive soul who feels rejected by the group;Christina Jackson as Sally-Ann, a beautiful girl from a mining town who is fascinated by the Farrells, and Hasil in particular; Francie Swift as Haylie, a clever and cunning all-American community relations manager representing the encroaching coal company; and Phyllis Somerville as Lady Ray, the regal yet tough leader of the Farrell clan.

“Outsiders,” is created and written by award-winning playwright Peter Mattei, who executive produces alongside Fedora Entertainment’s Emmy Award-winner Peter Tolan, Emmy® Award-winner Paul GiamattiDan Carey for Touchy Feely Films and Fedora’s Michael Wimer.

A veteran of TV and film, Gallner has appeared in film such as Fox Atomic’s “Jennifer’s Body,” starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, New Line Cinema’s “Nightmare on Elm Street” produced by Michael Bay, and Lionsgate Films’ hit “A Haunting in Connecticut,” opposite Virginia Madsen. His most recent work in television included an appearance on AMC’s “The Walking Dead.”

Jackson is best known for her recurring role as ‘Chalky White’s’ impressionable teenage daughter in the HBO hit series “Boardwalk Empire.” She also recurred heavily on NBC’s “Deception” as a young ‘Meagan Goode.’
