Nzingha Stewart, who wrote and directed the 2015 Lifetime movie ‘With this Ring’ that starred Jill Scott, Eve, and Regina Hall, will be carrying the duties on her next for the network, ‘The 10th Date.’
The 10th Date is a comedy that follows four friends who embark on an often hilarious journey to successfully get to that elusive 10th date — a holy grail in the dating world when they think a man finally feels committed. It chronicles every woman’s battles with the ups and downs of modern romance, exes and friendships while watching their other friends struggle with the realities of marriage and dating.
Wendy Finerman, who produced ‘I Like It Like That,’ ‘Drumline,’ ‘The Devil Wears Prada,’ and ‘Drumline: A New Beat,’ will executive produced the two hour film along with Lisa Zupan for A+E Studios.
Stewart’s previous credits include directing the documentary ‘Michael Jackson: Our Icon’ and executive producing ‘For Colored Girls.’
