Emayatzy Corinealdi Books Role On HBO’s BallersPosted by Wilson Morales

Emayatzy Corinealdi has booked a recurring role in the third season of HBO comedy series Ballers, which stars Dwayne Johnson as a retired superstar pro-footballer who manages the finances of current pro footballers, while living in Miami. Corinealdi will play Candace Brewer, who is described a a high-powered sports executive who goes toe to toe with star Johnson’s character, Spencer Strasmore.
Best known for her starring role in Ava DuVernay’s Middle of Nowhere, Corinealdi as just cast in CBS drama pilot The Get alongside Brad Garrett.
She was last seen in History’s miniseries Roots, and starred opposite Don Cheadle in the Miles Davis film Miles Ahead for Sony Pictures Classics. She will next be seen in the second and final season of Amazon’s original series Hand of God.
