Amazon Orders 10 Episodes For Good Girls Revolt Posted by Wilson Morales

After premiering the pilot on November 5 for a month, Variety states that Amazon Prime has ordered 10 episodes of GOOD GIRLS REVOLT, produced by Amazon and TriStar Television.
Inspired by the landmark sexual discrimination cases chronicled in Lynn Povich’s book, The Good Girls Revolt, the pilot was written and created by Dana Calvo, directed by Liza Johnson, and executive produced by Calvo, Linda Obst, Darlene Hunt, Don Kurt and Jeff Okin.
The pilot featured Grace Gummer, Jim Belushi, Joy Bryant, Pitch Perfect’s Anna Camp, Weeds’ Hunter Parrish, Silicon Valley’s Chris Diamantopoulos, Erin Darke and Genevieve Angelson.
Set in 1969, Good Girls Revolt follows a group of young female researchers at “News of the Week” who seek to be treated fairly, a pursuit that ultimately upends marriages, careers and various relationships.
Among the roles, Camp stars as Jane, a highly skilled, couture wearing and straight arrow star researcher at the mag. Genevieve Angelson plays Patti Robinson, described as a wild-haired tenacious researcher and an adventurous flower child who just back to New York after a transformative six months in San Francisco. Joy Bryant plays civil rights activist Eleanor Holmes Norton, Gummer plays Nora Ephron and Belushi is Wick McFadden.
