This week Disney+ debuted a new poster featuring Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) as Captain America from the hit show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Mackie’s character – Sam – makes his debut as the superhero in episode six of season one, which also alludes to some inevitable changes to the show for its next season. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman as head writer, the six-episode series stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, Wyatt Russell as John F. Walker, Erin Kellyman as Karlu Morgenthau, Adepero Oduye as Sarah Wilson, Amy Aquino as Dr. Christina Raynor and Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier follows the events of Avengers: Endgame, with Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) teaming up in a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the show will undoubtedly receive a second season as a title card featured at the end of episode six revealed that reads Captain America and the Winter Soldier. In addition to this, Spellman told the outlet that they were gearing up for more upcoming Marvel Comics Universe (MCU) projects – at least three that the writer could confirm. In the same article the series director, Kari Skogland, told EW:
“It’s a story about the first Black Captain America. How great is that?”
