Bad Boys 3

There’s still life to a Bad Boys 3 as Sony Pictures‘ long-in-development film has now been retitled Bad Boys for Life

As Comingsoon.net pointed out, this is a reference to Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s characters’ famous motto, “We ride together, we die together, bad boys for life.”

There’s also a new release date, January 12, 2018. The film has been delayed several times we lost track as to how many times it’s been moved.

Bad Boys hit theaters in 1995 and grossed more than $140 million worldwide. The sequel, Bad Boys II, followed in 2003 with a worldwide gross of nearly $275 million. Michael Bay directed both films.

Joe Carnahan will take over the directing duties this time with a screenplay by David Guggenheim. Smith and Lawrence are expected to return to reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett respectively along with producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
