Deadline is reporting that Abraham Attah, the breakout young actor from ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ has joined the cast of Sony and Marvel’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” His role has yet to be given or described.

With Jon Watts directing Sony’s reboot of the “Spider-Man” franchise, Attah joins Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Michael Keaton as the villain, Kenneth Choi as Peter’s high school Principal and Zendaya as Michelle, Logan Marshall-Green, Donald Glover, Martin Starr, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., J.J. Totah, and Hannibal Burress, who was added earlier this week.

Robert Downey Jr. is set to reprise his role as Tony Stark (Iron Man). Both Holland and Tomei appeared with Downey Jr. in “Captain America: Civil War.”

Spider-Man- Homecoming

Kevin Feige is producing with Amy Pascal. Production is expected to star this summer with the film hitting theaters on July 7, 2017.

For his role as the child soldier Abu opposite Idris Elba in Cary Fukunaga’s Beasts Of No Nation, Attah won Best Lead Actor Award in the Independent Spirits. He also won the Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor at Venice and was nominated for Critics’ Choice and SAG Awards.
