Belle Director Amma Asante Gets Funding For Next Project, ‘Where Hands Touch’Posted by Wilson Morales

Director Amma Asante, whose British period drama Belle was released earlier this year, has secured the finances for her latest project following her next film, which will be released by Warner Bros.
Pinewood Pictures, who helped financed the Fox Searchlight distrubuted Belle, has come onboard again to aid Asante’s latest film, ‘Where Hands Touch,’ a romantic drama set in 1940s Berlin about the relationship between a mixed-race German girl and an SS officer.
Her next film will be ‘Unforgettable,’ about a woman who sets out to make the life of her ex-husband’s new wife hell. Produced by Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan, Warner Bros. will distribute that film.
Featured as Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch in 2013, Asante’s Belle, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, was well received by critics and fans.
