Bille Woodruff is set to direct “Honey 4,” which is now in production in Atlanta, with Teyana Taylor and “Empire’s” Bryshere Y. Gray, a.k.a. rapper Yazz the Greatest and Sierra McClain.

Woodruff has directed all of the Honey installment, but the only 2003 film Honey, which starred Jessica Alba, hit the theaters.

Set in Atlanta’s underground dance scene, the latest installment will debut in 2018 from Universal 1440 Entertainment, the original content production arm of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of this groundbreaking series with an all-new production starring some of the most talented and sought-after young stars today,” says Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President, Universal 1440 Entertainment. “Longtime fans and newcomers alike will all be thrilled by the return of the franchise’s signature blend of music, dance, romance and ambition.”

The script is written by Robert Adetuyi (“Stomp The Yard,” “You Got Served: Beat The World”) with choreography by Jamaica Craft (“Empire,” “The Boss”) and is produced by Mike Elliott (“November Rule,” “The Scorpion King 4: Quest for Power”). Executive producer is Marc Platt (“Honey franchise,” “La La Land”).
