Bobbcat Films To Produce Doc On HBCU Marching Bandsby Wilson Morales

July 21, 2011

Earlier today on the Tom Joyner radio show, Bobbcat Films founder Roger Bobb announced his venture since forming the company back in late May.

Roger Bobb’s Bobbcat Films signs deal with ESPN to produce Season 2 of “The Battle” a five part docu-series showcasing HBCU marching bands.

The series, which will air on ESPN this fall, will chronicle the training, discipline, competitiveness, heart and soul that make up HBCU bands.

The shows will follow the bands as they train rigorously day-in and day-out for the football games and rivalries that date back decades as part of the HBCU culture.

Bobb previously worked as Executive Vice President of Tyler Perry Studios, where he produced all of Perry’s films and television sitcoms to start his own film company.
