Academy Award-Winner Colin Firth (“The King’s Speech”) and two-time nominee Jacki Weaver (“Silver Linings Playbook”) talk about working with director Woody Allen on his new period comedy “Magic in the Moonlight.” Firth also discusses Joe Dante’s upcoming biopic “The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes,” in which Firth could potentially play the infamous B-movie filmmaker Roger Corman.
“Magic in the Moonlight” is a romantic comedy about an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible swindle. Personal and professional complications ensue. The film is set in the south of France in the 1920s against a backdrop of wealthy mansions, the Côte d’Azur, jazz joints and fashionable spots for the wealthy of the Jazz Age.
