Colman Domingo Joins Cast AMC’s ‘The Walking Dead’ Spin-off, ‘Fear the Walking Dead’Posted by Wilson Morales

Colman Domingo, who was last seen playing Ralph Abernathy in Ava DuVernay’s Selma, has booked a recurring role on AMC’s upcoming The Walking Dead companion series, Fear The Walking Dead.
Already cast in the series are Mercedes Mason, Ruben Blades, Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
Set in Los Angeles, Fear The Walking Dead will take place in Los Angeles and will follow a Sean, the divorced teacher (Curtis) trying to do right by everyone in his life, along with guidance counselor Nancy (Dickens), and her two children – a son and a daughter – during the zombie apocalypse.
Domingo will play Strand, a smart and sophisticated man with a mysterious past.
Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert are Executive Producing. “Fear the Walking Dead” has a two season commitment from AMC.
Domingo is currently shooting The Birth of a Nation starring Nate Parker. A veteran theater actor as well, his film credits include Lee Daniel’s The Butler and Lincoln. On TV, He will also have a recurring role on Cinemax’s The Knick as well as a role on CBS’ civil rights crime drama pilot For Justice, where the first episode is directed by Selma’ Ava DuVernay.
