Cory Hardrict has been cast in Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, states Deadline.
Based on the memoir American Sniper: The Autobiography Of The Most Lethal Sniper In U.S. Military History, the film stars Bradley Cooper as Texan Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, who retells his exploits of recording the highest number of sniper kills for an American, earning himself the nickname al-Shaitan (“the devil”) from Iraqi insurgents.
Hardrict will play a fellow Navy SEAL in the Warner Bros. production.
Hardrict also appeared in Eastwood’s Gran Torino. He will next be seen in Oscar-winning cinematographer Wally Pfister’s directorial debut, Transcendence, opposite Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, and Morgan Freeman.
Upcoming projects include a starring role in Jamal Hill‘s indie film Brotherly Love. Among the actor’s film credits are roles in the nationwide hit Warm Bodies, the indie film Lovelace with Amanda Seyfried, and the worldwide blockbuster Battle LA.
Hardrict is repped by SDB Partners.
