Cory Hardrict To Play DJ Frankie Crocker In ‘Lovelace’by Wilson Morales

Cory Hardrict, who was last seen in the alien film, ‘Battle: Los Angeles,’ and has the upcoming zombie movie, ‘Warm Bodies,’ will next play DJ Frankie Crocker in the biopic, ‘Lovelace.’
He also starred on the ABC Family series, ‘Lincoln Heights.’ He’s married to actress Tia Mowry.
According the Hollywood Reporter, Hardrict joins Debi Mazar, who was also added to the film. based on the life and career of Linda Boreman aka “Linda Lovelace,” the star of the 1972 pornographic film, ‘Deep Throat.’
Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (HOWL, The Celluloid Closet) with a screenplay written by Andy Bellin (Trust), Amanda Seyfried stars in the title role with Peter Saarsgard playing her husband, Chuck Traynor.
Mazar and Hardrict join already announced supporting cast members Demi Moore, Adam Brody, Eric Roberts, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
The Hollywood Reporter also mentioned that Romeo Brown had been cast in the film, but his name was listed here.
Crocker was a famous New York radio DJ. (Coined “Hollywood” for his keen sense of showmanship and self-marketing tactics.) He was the master of ceremonies of shows at the Apollo Theater in Harlem and was one of the first V.J.’s on VH-1, the cable music video channel, in addition to hosting the TV series Solid Gold and NBC’s Friday Night Videos.
A Millennium Films Production, the film is produced by Heidi Jo Markel for Eclectic Pictures, Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg for Untitled Entertainment, and Jim Young for Animus Films, with executive producers Boaz Davidson, Danny Dimbort, Mark Gill, W. Merritt Johnson, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short and John Thompson for Nu Image/Millennium Films.
The production is currently shooting on location in Los Angeles.
