Dwayne Johnson has been chosen to star in the big screen version of Baywatch for Paramount Pictures, states The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will be directed by Sean Anders and John Morris (We’re The Millers) with Justin Malen onboard to rewrite the script that was originally written by Jeremy Garelick and Peter Tolan.

Montecito Pictures is producing along with Beau Flynn. Tripp Vinson is executive producing. Hiram Garcia, who is Johnson’s producing partner, will serve in some producing capacity.
