The 31st Annual TCA Awards nominations were announced today with Fox’s “Empire” and Amazon’s “Transparent” leading the pack with four nods each, including the prestigious program of the year.
The nominations were particularly widespread this year across networks, with each of the broadcast networks getting noms: ABC (5), CBS (5), Fox (4), NBC (3, though all in the heritage category), and The CW (4), which was recognized for both “Jane the Virgin” and “The Flash.”
Included among the nominees are Taraji P. Henson from “Empire” and Viola Davis from “How to Get Away with Murder” whose shows also won nods in outstanding new program.
