Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has provided Blackfilm.com with an exclusive clip from the critically acclaimed film festival favorite, Life, Above All, which arrives on Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack on December 6, 2011.
Directed by South African filmmaker Oliver Schmitz (Paris, Je T‘Aime, Hijack Stories) and adapted from the international award winning novel “Chanda’s Secrets” by Allan Stratton, Life Above All follows 12 year-old Chanda, portrayed by first-time actress Khomotso Manyaka, through her realization that death is ever present and nothing is more contagious than lies.

Since its theatrical debut, audiences have been drawn to the powerful film which has been included as part of the official selection at 2010 Cannes Film Festival where it won the Francois Chalais Prize, 2010 Toronto International Film Festival, 2011 San Francisco International Film Festival and participated in Closing Night at the 2011 Human Rights Watch International Film Festival.
