The Weinstein Co. have provided Blackfilm.com with a first look at Nichole Galicia and Tom Wopat from Quentin Tarantino‘s highly anticipated film, “Django Unchained,” starring Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, and Samuel L. Jackson.

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles–dead or alive.

Galicia, who had a supporting role in the 2003 movie Love Don’t Cost a Thing with Nick Cannon, plays Sheba, one of Calvin Candie’s “Ponies” and Tom Wopat plays Marshall Gill Tatum is a police officer for the town of Daughtrey, TX.

In speaking with EOnline recently about her role playing Leonardo DiCaprio’s love interest, the native stated, “It was everything you would imagine it to be. It was perfect. He was more than nice. He was generous, he was humble and he was funny.” Apparently Galicia didn’t even audition with DiCaprio when Tarantino cast her in the film. “I read with Quentin and the casting director,” she said. “Quentin basically looked at me and said, ‘Do everything.’ So I did. I had to sit on someone’s lap. Say a bunch of lines and kiss someone. I got up and I laid a kiss on the casting director. I don’t know if she was expecting it.”

She?

“Yes, she!” Galicia said. “But in my brain she was a he.”

Wopat is best known for his role as Luke Duke in the long-running 1979 television series The Dukes of Hazzard, along with John Schneider. Most recently, the Wisconsin native spoke with the Baltimore Sun about his experience working on the film, stating, “I was there only one day, but I had a really nice scene with Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz. It’s a couple of minutes; it’s kind of a confrontation. I’ll be hard to miss.”

Django Unchained opens on Christmas Day.
